Robyn Michele Collins Memorial

The Robyn Michele Collins Memorial (RMCM) 5K Breast Cancer Awareness Walk ® is a catalyst for Sisters Network of Central NJ ® Inc. (SNCNJ) to ensure women are empowered and equipped to avoid and survive breast cancer.

SNCNJ, an affiliate chapter of Sisters Network® Inc., is committed to fighting the epidemic of breast cancer in our community. Our local chapter, founded in January 2000, is the 24th affiliate chapter of the national organization which has over 4,000 members nationwide.  RMCM 5K is a one-day event but its impact is felt all year long!  For the third year, over 1,000 participants, volunteers, and supporters come together representing a community that cares. Last year's proceeds financed breast reconstruction surgery for a 41 year old divorced mother with inadequate insurance. Plus vital assistance was given to ailing breast cancer survivors in need of medications, transportation to chemotherapy and radiation treatments, and prosthetic devices.

Walk 4Life! is dedicated to the courageous inflammatory breast cancer journey of 42 yrs old Robyn Michele Collins, a past survivor-member of Sisters Network of Central NJ and fervent support. When Robyn succumbed to this disease on December 14, 2004, her employer, BlackRock NYC, and church family at Cathedral International-Perth Amboy, partnered with SNCNJ to commemorate Robyn’s tenacious spirit and bring awareness and support for this cause. Robyn’s 5K, initiated on October 6, 2005, has experienced growth and increased support each year. June 17, 2007, Robyn 47 years old sister, died from breast cancer. Walk 4Life! is a vigilant call to battle against breast cancer! SNCNJ facilitates specific breast health seminars, events, and aids for young women and their families. Your partnership is making it happen.
